We haven’t had much to post since the excitement of our Limited Edition dispensers gracing our doorway. Much packing and shipping (and assembling shipping boxes) was done, so all of you who ordered DVDs with a pre-ordered dispenser should have them by now.

But while we humans were distracted with the business of shipping dispensers (and while Chris has been setting up his PEZ collection in our new Atlanta apartment), the Limited Edition PEZheads - The Movie Pez Dispenser (yes, it’s a long name on his birth certificate) snuck off and did an interview with Pezhead Monthly. So to get a sense of who PEZheads - The Movie Pez Dispenser really is, you’ll have to read this interview with the Dispenser himself.

The photo above is of 3 of the 10 boxes that arrived with the Pezheads The Movie pez dispensers inside of them.  What a wonderfully great day this is.  There is one piece of news that needs to be mentioned though.  We were told we would have different color stems, but we were only given black stems.  I hope this doesn’t upset too many people.  After posting the photo of the samples, we actually had several emails asking for blacks stems so at least we know people like them.

In preparation for the dispensers arrival we contructed boxes, stamped them and put both address and return address labels on them.  That means we were able to get all of the dispensers boxed today and that I am taking them to the post office in the morning.  Here is a photo of Chris M and I boxing up the dispensers.

We have had a various levels of an assembly line in my apartment for about a week.  It has been interesting.  I want to thank all of you for your patience during this whole thing.  We apologize for the delays and changes.  If there was anything that could have been done to avoid them, I promise you, we would have done them.  But all of that is about to be past us because they are here and soon will be sitting among all of the dispensers already in your collections.

These will arrive at your houses soon.  We hope you enjoy them.

As a side note,I find it interesting that Pez chose to use the old style of bags for these dispensers.  Also, they packaged them with 2 candy packs which is unusual for special order dispensers.

We’re too busy packaging PEZ dispensers to post photos yet, but we wanted to let you know that they’ve arrived! More news to follow.

Ok…I think the subject line pretty much tells you what’s up. Today I received 10 sample Pezheads The Movie dispensers for us to approve before they make the whole run. I think it goes without saying that this is extremely exciting. Not much else to say…check out the photo below.

Here’s the latest news as of 5 minutes ago.  The dispenser is in the production cue.  Pez USA expects it to arrive at the factory in mid-September, then they have to bag it and ship it to us.  They expect us to receive it by the end of September.  I know that we have had expected dates before, and I hope and pray that this is the final one.  There is one bit of news that might not make everyone happy though.  We originally were going to do 1200, but then had to change to order to 1500 dispensers.  To get it pushed through the factory we had to up it to 3000.  So now we are getting 3000 of these.  There is also one more slight change that some people will like.  This should be coming on many different stem colors.  I know not everyone out there is a stem collector, but I am (at least when it comes to different colors).  As always, if there are new developments, we will post it here.  Hopefully the next one will be the long awaited for update saying that they have been produced.

I just wanted to post really fast and let everyone know that we are going to be at the St. Louis convention this weekend. We actually just arrived in St. Louis and decided to post this before even setting up the room. If you are planning on attending this weekend, please come by our room (#301) and say hello.

I have been trying to get a more recent update on the dispenser, but evidently there have been some trade shows and things that are keeping the folks at Pez pretty busy. The last we have heard is that the dispensers were in production and that they haven’t arrived at the factory in CT yet. We haven’t forgotten about anyone’s orders…we are just waiting to receive the dispensers from Pez.
