I just wanted to post really fast and let everyone know that we are going to be at the St. Louis convention this weekend. We actually just arrived in St. Louis and decided to post this before even setting up the room. If you are planning on attending this weekend, please come by our room (#301) and say hello.
I have been trying to get a more recent update on the dispenser, but evidently there have been some trade shows and things that are keeping the folks at Pez pretty busy. The last we have heard is that the dispensers were in production and that they haven’t arrived at the factory in CT yet. We haven’t forgotten about anyone’s orders…we are just waiting to receive the dispensers from Pez.
Sorry it has taken me so long to post about the premiere. We have had a lot of post-premiere work to do along with some personal things that we had to deal with. But here we go…
We arrived on Thursday afternoon and began to promote the Friday premiere and sell some merch. We did a little bit of business, mainly due to our awesome new t-shirt. Friday we concentrated on promoting the premiere and then the actual premiere of the movie. And wow…the premiere went great. We had so many people show up that we ran out of chairs. The hotel brought in all the extra chairs they had and then we ran out again! The back of the room was full of people standing. During the movie everyone laughed at all the appropriate times and then even during times that we would hoped they would, but weren’t sure. The reception we got was amazing. People seemed to really enjoy the movie! After the movie, the rest of the convention was spent doing DVD pre-sales (which went well).
So now that the premiere is over we have a lot of work to do to get the movie DVD ready. Lots of paperwork, some tweeking of the sound and we have to edit together all of the extras. And we plan on having some fun extras. A lot of the stuff we couldn’t fit into the movie will end up in the extras. Lots of deleted scenes and some bloopers.
So go pre-order the movie at the special pre-order price! Sometime in this next week I hope to have confirmation on our exclusive dispenser for the movie.

Here’s a summary of day 2 of filming….
All in all it was a fantastic weekend. It was the whole movie crew’s first convention and we all loved it. It was Chris M’s first real introduction to the world of PEZ (other then me telling him about it) and he fell in love. He even broke down and bought himself a couple. Nothing expensive of course.
I came away with all 5 common FX dispensers (plus 2 dupes), all 3 jack in the box, nintendo, donald duck E on pink euro stem, pez pal girl MOC and 2 convention dispensers.
A nice haul mostly made up of trading and less than $10. Not bad. Not bad at all.

This was the first PEZ® convention any of us had ever been to. We really didn’t know what to expect. We drove 6 hours to get to Tampa, and spent two full days at the convention.
So today wraps up the first day of filming. We got some great footage. Great interviews with Red Conroy and with Ron Jones. Some more of Red tomorrow as well as pezcommunity.com members like gotdank (Joe), reigo(Christina), lessthankris (Kristin) and bluehorse_1 (Rick).
There weren’t tons of people at PEZfest but I think tomorrow holds great things. We’ve got Bingo, the list party, the community party, a display seminar, and of course room hopping for most of the day.
